Keep Faine, Move Bentley to Guard
According to Terrel Smith, Bentley's a stud at Guard. I say we move him there, and Keep Faine. Having too many good offensive lineman on the roster is like having too much beer in the fridge. I don't see that as a problem. Unless we can get someone markedly better than Faine, or fill a more desperate need, I can't imagine justifying losing a proven asset on the offensive line. Here's what Smith had to say:"He's (known around) this league for being a violent and physical player. That's a type of player I would go to war with in the fox hole any day. He's a great addition."
When asked whether Bentley would be best suited to play guard or center, Smith openly favored the two-time Pro Bowl selection at guard. But then again, he may be a bit biased having never played with Bentley as a center. He did, however, bring some convincing evidence to the table.
"If you haven't seen this guy pull go pull up some old Saints film," Smith said. "He doesn't just pull and watch. He pulls to go hunt. Most offensive players are more passive than defensive linemen. For him, he has a defensive lineman's mentality. When he pulls, he's looking to seek
and destroy. A lot of them don't do that."
That sounds good to me, let Andruzzi or Coleman duke it out for the last starting spot and keep Faine at Center.

I want Bentley at center. See if Faine can beat out Andruzzi or Coleman. The Browns need someone to stand toe-to-toe with the Steelers Casey Hampton who is 6'1" and 325 pounds. Faine is 291 pounds and Bentley is 313. Put the beef in the middle. If you can control the center of the line, everything becomes that much easier. A pulling guard is worthless if the center can't hold off the NT!!
Whatever man, my point is don't toss out a proven asset on the O-Line unless you get something of equal or greater value to the team in return. Savage should do everything in his power to keep Faine, unless we're made an offer we can't refuse.
